Hip, Tummy & Pelvic Conditions
Adductor-Related Groin Pain
Adductor-related groin pain involves strain or inflammation of the adductor muscles in the groin area. We'll focus on stretching and strengthening exercises to improve muscle balance and reduce pain.
Diastasis Recti Abdominis
Diastasis recti (dy-uh-STAY-sis REK-tie) abdominis is when the abdominal muscles separate, often after pregnancy. This can cause a bulge in the midline of the abdomen and sometimes lower back pain. We'll focus on exercises to strengthen your core muscles and close the gap, helping to improve your posture and support for your back.
Femoral Nerve Radiculopathy
Femoral nerve radiculopathy (rah-dik-yoo-LAH-puh-thee) is when the femoral nerve, which supplies sensation and movement to the leg, is compressed or irritated, causing pain and weakness. We'll focus on exercises and therapies to relieve pressure on the nerve.
Femoroacetabular Impingement
Femoroacetabular (fem-uh-roh-uh-SEE-tab-yoo-lar) impingement is when there is abnormal contact between the ball and socket of the hip joint, causing pain and reduced range of motion. We'll work on exercises and techniques to improve hip function and reduce pain.
Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome
Greater trochanteric pain syndrome involves pain on the outside of the hip due to inflammation or injury to the tendons around the greater trochanter. Treatment may involve exercises to strengthen the hip muscles and improve flexibility.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip dysplasia is a condition where the hip socket doesn't fully cover the ball portion of the femur, causing instability and pain. Treatment may include exercises to strengthen the hip muscles and improve joint stability.
Hip Osteoarthritis
Hip osteoarthritis is the wear and tear of the hip joint cartilage, causing pain and stiffness. We'll work on exercises to strengthen the hip muscles and improve joint mobility.
Hip Replacement Surgery
Hip replacement surgery involves replacing a damaged hip joint with an artificial one. We'll guide you through post-surgery rehabilitation to help you regain strength and mobility.
Iliotibial Band Syndrome
Iliotibial (il-ee-oh-TIB-ee-ul) band syndrome is pain on the outside of the thigh due to inflammation or tightness of the iliotibial band. We'll work on stretching and strengthening exercises to alleviate symptoms and prevent recurrence.
Lower Back Pain and Sciatica
Lower back pain with sciatica involves pain that radiates down the leg due to compression or irritation of the sciatic nerve. We'll focus on techniques to relieve pressure on the nerve and improve your symptoms.
Lumbar Disc Injury
A lumbar disc injury involves damage to one of the discs in your lower back, causing pain and sometimes nerve compression. Treatment may include exercises, physical therapy, or in some cases, surgery.
Pelvic Floor Conditions
Pelvic floor conditions like pelvic floor dysfunction or pelvic organ prolapse can cause discomfort or urinary incontinence. We'll work on exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles and improve pelvic stability.
Pelvic Girdle Pain
Pelvic girdle pain involves discomfort in the pelvic area, often during pregnancy or due to muscle imbalances. We'll focus on exercises and techniques to alleviate pain and improve pelvic alignment.
Proximal Hamstring Tendinopathy
Proximal hamstring tendinopathy is pain and tenderness at the top of the hamstring muscles where they attach to the pelvis. We'll use specific exercises and therapies to strengthen and rehabilitate the tendons.
Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction
Sacroiliac (SAK-roh-IL-ee-ak) joint dysfunction involves pain and instability in the sacroiliac joint, which connects the sacrum to the pelvis. We'll work on techniques to stabilize the joint and improve your symptoms.
