At The LBPC, we accept private medical insurance as payment for physiotherapy services. This type of insurance helps cover the cost of private medical treatment for acute conditions. All our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), ensuring the highest standard of care.
We work closely with health insurance companies to offer you excellent physiotherapy services.

Insurance Companies
At The LBPC, we strive to make accessing top-quality physiotherapy care as easy and convenient as possible. We work with a wide range of health insurance providers to help you manage your treatment costs. For your ease and convenience, detailed below is the information you may need to access physiotherapy through your insurance policy.
Prepare for Your Appointment:
Confirm Coverage: Contact your insurance provider to confirm that your policy includes physiotherapy.
Obtain a Referral: Some insurers require a referral from a GP or specialist. You can get this through the NHS or a private GP appointment.
Booking Information: When booking your appointment, provide the following details:
-
Your insurer’s name
-
Policy number
-
Authorisation code (separate codes may be required for different body parts)
-
Number of approved sessions or total allowance for physiotherapy
-
Any excess amount and who it needs to be paid to
Essential Claim Information:
Your insurance company will need some information from you including a code for your treatment. To make things simpler, we’ve included our clinic code for BUPA below:
80013934
For AXA, AVIVA, WPA, Healix or any other insurance companies, simply reach out to our reception team at 01209 696353 or info@ladybasset.co.uk, and we’ll provide you with the necessary physiotherapist registration numbers.
Even if you’re covered by a smaller insurance company, rest assured that you can still access treatment at The LBPC. While we may not have specific registration numbers, all our physiotherapists are accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), allowing you to self-pay and claim reimbursement.
Understand Your Policy:
Excess: Most policies have an outpatient excess, typically £100-£150. This is the amount you must pay before your insurer contributes. We will invoice you directly once we are informed of the excess by your insurer.
Treatment Limits: Your policy may limit the number of treatments or types of services covered. Be aware of these to avoid unexpected costs.
Billing and Responsibilities:
We will invoice your insurance company within 24 hours of your last appointment. However, it’s essential to note that payment processing may take several weeks.
As the policyholder, you are responsible for any shortfalls in coverage, incorrect authorisation details, or exceeding your session limits.
